  Syllabus: keeps a previously imported task unchanged by default when its
    due date changes; does not bulk-create repeated assessments without
    explicit review; does not schedule an AI-supplied time when the source
    says no time was provided; preserves saved grades when adding a date.
  Course progress: does not treat study time as completed content; compares
    scheduled material with checkoffs without counting future checks as
    progress toward today; respects missing estimates and date overrides.
  Timer draft: recovers elapsed time from saved timing state; rejects corrupt
    timing and malformed restored controls, clamps clock-rollback recovery;
    invalid/old local preferences.

LIMITS AND PROVENANCE
